COMPETITION BUREAU CANADA – David Heppenstall, Lauren Chan, Jennifer Bilas, and Jin Lee win overall 🏆 Best Faculty on behalf of Osgoode Hall Law School at the 2021 Adam F. Fanaki Moot. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Moot was conducted under unusual circumstances. The Osgoode team rose to meet the challenge. The team’s success would not have been possible without the passionate commitment from the Fasken coaching team: Antonio Di Domenico, Robin Spillette, and Chris Margison.

In addition to the national championship, the Osgoode team also sweeps the following categories:

  • 🏆 Best Respondent Team (David Heppenstall & Lauren Chan),
  • 🏆 Best Respondent Factum (David Heppenstall & Lauren Chan), and
  • 🏆 Best Respondent Oralist (David Heppenstall).

David Heppenstall is thrilled to have shared this experience with such a dedicated and passionate team.

Named for the late Adam F. Fanaki, highly respected leader in the international antitrust community, the Moot is organized by the Competition Bureau, the Competition Tribunal and the Canadian Bar Association. The Moot is an opportunity for Canadian law students to tackle issues in a growing field of law that strives to balance private economic incentives with the public interest.
